Orange County-based singer, songwriter and speaker Daniel Nahmod (pronounced “Nay-mod”) is one of the most beloved and influential independent musical artists in the United States today. He has presented his profound, heart-opening original songs and stories for more than 2 million people in 45 U.S. states and Canada, selling over 150,000 albums along the way; his music has been heard on Saturday Night Live, Today Show, American Idol, The Super Bowl, and The Voice, in addition to hundreds of other television and radio programs.

His beautiful, inclusive inspirational songs including “One Power,” “My Soul Is Welcome Here,” “When I Pray,” “Sacred Love,” “Love Is My Decision,” “Get Ready My Soul" and “Swing Wide The Doors” are, for churches in the Unity and Center for Spiritual Living communities, among the most popular and frequently-performed songs in the world.

Daniel was a keynote performer at the Parliament of World Religions in Toronto with his friend and collaborator Nimo (emptyhandsmusic.com); has sung for Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Muslim, Mormon, Jewish, Bahai, Hindu and secular audiences; has performed at hundreds of schools, hospitals, senior facilities, prisons and community centers; and has presented his music and message for nonprofit events including Habitat for Humanity, the Anti-Defamation League, and Operation USA.

In addition to his live performances, Daniel also hosts all-inclusive international tours to some of the world’s most stunning and fascinating places; upcoming trips in 2026 include Peru (late May/June) and Scotland & England (October).

Following on his 23 album releases to date, Daniel’s latest project is a still-untitled full-length original musical 10 years in the making, detailing the challenges and ultimate triumph of a musical artist struggling to stay true to his own voice, to his immigrant family’s story of struggle, and to the music he is absolutely driven to make… in the face of self-doubt, fierce resistance from the music industry, the judgment of members of his own family, the cynical expectations of contemporary audiences, and his own internally contradictory ambitions.  First trial runs of the musical will coincide with early submissions to various Musical Theater festivals in the winter of 2025/2026.

Daniel lives in Southern California with his wife, jeweler Melina (@melina_nahmod_jewelry), and their 13-year-old son Jude, a talented drummer and singer in his own right!
