What does Unity believe?

The easiest way to describe Unity is to say that it is practical Christianity, a way of life.

Unity's five basic truths are as follows:

God is absolute good, everywhere present.

Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God and therefore they are inherently good also.

Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.

What is Unity?

Unity is the name coined by Charles Fillmore, co-founder of the Unity Movement. It encompasses all the history, mission, and services of Unity School of Christianity in Lee's Summit, MO.

What is Silent Unity?

Silent Unity is the prayer ministry for Unity. It began when Charles and Myrtle Fillmore began to pray for people. Others joined them in prayer and over the century it has grown into a worldwide prayer ministry serving hundreds of thousands of people every year by phone, Internet and mail. We invite you to contact Silent Unity for prayer through the Internet, by phone toll free 1-800-969-2000 or 1-800-669-7729, or by writing to 1901 NW Blue Parkway, Unity Village, MO 64065-0001.
