Unity 101

Facilitated by Rev. Patty Williams Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you will gain opportunities through this class to explore aspects of the Unity movement, experiment with and test the principles, and probe for deeper resonance and meaning of spirituality in your life. Come and discuss the answers to questions, including the following topics: • What are the core beliefs of Unity? • What does Unity teach concerning the nature of God? Jesus? Jesus Christ? Christ Jesus? • What is affirmative prayer? Meditation? Silence? And Treatment? • What is Unity’s relationship to the Bible? How does one metaphysically interpret the Bible? What about other sacred texts? We will also discuss what Unity teaches about death, communion, baptism, and other rituals. The 12 Powers will be overviewed as well. When you finish this course you will have a clearer direction about your next step of study.
